Event Management

Event management involves the creation, direction and planning of all kinds of events. Planning, organising and managing any event can be difficult, and appear to be a daunting task. As well as thinking of what type of event to run, you need to comply with all the various rules and legislation that apply to this area.

Whatever the size of the event, the safety of those attending must be paramount, and the following matters need early attention:

• Planning
• Safety Issues
• Stewarding
• Training
• Event Management

Other matters such as licensing and noise management might also need to be considered, and for larger events, a management document needs to be prepared.

Along with a whole host of other matters, facilities such as toilets, (perhaps showers), first aid and ambulance cover will need consideration. Depending on the size of the event, you might need to think about transport, waste, electricity, water, fire safety, etc.
