Alan Gwynant

Alan has been involved in the events and health and safety field for over 30 years and during this period, has been responsible for all the technical aspects of 12 Urdd National Eisteddfods, and 25 National Eisteddfods of Wales, both of which are large scale peripatetic green site cultural festivals.

This experience has given him an unrivalled knowledge of project managing large scale events as well as the practical experience and application of both simple and complex health and safety issues, risk assessments etc.

His responsibilities and experiences include:

  • Event Planning & Project Management
  • Health & Safety management
  • Crowd Management
  • Stewarding, including training of voluntary and paid staff
  • Local Authority and emergency services Liaison, licensing etc.

Alan holds a NEBOSH certificate and a Level 4 NVQ in Occupational Safety and health, and is a Chartered Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).

He has also attended specialist courses in Crowd Management and Safety at Events and Mass Gatherings at the Emergency Planning College, York.

Alan also specialises in health & Safety work for the film and television industry, having supported several large productions, including “Sex Education” for Netflix, and “War of the Worlds”.
